We in Rochester believe that this village offers the best possible blend of city and country, farm and urban conveniences. Here you will find a caring community of individuals working together for the benefit of all. Rochester is a blend of people, some with roots on the farms adjacent to the village, and many who reside here, but work in Springfield, Illinois (seven miles west of Rochester on state Route 29).

Harmony is possible through this diversity, as we enjoy the fruits of varied talents, abilities, and backgrounds. When this community has a need, there is always someone in Rochester who has the capability or experience to get the job done
